Although I, like most mental health practitioners, tend to work rather eclectically we pick and choose aspects from many of the different counseling modalities. There are certainly ways in which the way I work is more defined in some respects. I lean heavily towards Carl Rodger's 'Person Centred Approach' which is defined by the belief that the client is inherently driven toward and has the capacity for growth and self-actualization. This approach will inform a lot of the way I will work with the client.

I also make use of 'Solution-focused' techniques and interventions, as well as many holistic and psycho-educational tools. Generally, the client and what their presenting problem is alongside their personality type will dictate how I work with them.

I work with most areas that fall within my scope of practice as stipulated by the Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners (ASCHP), but the following areas are where my passion and interests generally lie:

- General Mental Health Support
- The Support of Mild-Moderate Anxiety
- Substance Addiction Support & Recovery
- Adolescents aged 14+
- Trauma
